The Passion of Christ: a Twitter adaptation

It’s weird to be reading tweets from Pontius Pilate, St. Peter, Mary and Jesus Christ.

The Trinity Church is doing just just that by twittering The Passion of Christ. The language is contemporary but there is something unsettling about making them sound like they’re tweeners.

In any case, if they were tweeting the Passion, they might as well have gone all the way. As in:

jchrist: fierce! i’m alive… and glowing. body wrap = awesome. ooh, someone’s coming. must hide.

magdalene: waking up so early and going to the tomb only to find that jchrist’s body is missing — so not cool.
