Quick review: Gigi Coffee & Cupcakes

Gigi - Butter Cream Cupcake.jpg

Gigi has a beautiful space right inside the furniture and interior design store, Shelter. It’s small though—there are only about five tables and you should ideally just be a party of four. It makes for an intimate hiding place, granted the other patrons aren’t as loudmouthed as we were, haha!

I ordered the Butter Cream Cupcake, P50, which was more sugary than my diet would allow me to have, but demmit, can’t a grown man indulge in his dainty cupcake once in a while?!?! Obviously, I’ve inner issues (lol), but this cupcake has none—I enjoyed its every morsel; the butter cream frosting dissolves in the mouth perfectly and the bread is soft and moist.

I heard good things about the salted caramel variant and I will try that next time, hopefully, with a gorgeous date 😀

And if you’re familiar with my reviews, I always hammer about restaurant prices: I got a cupcake and a medium-size latte (good, too) all for P150, which is P10 less than my regular Starbucks order. Needless to say, I love Gigi!
