About Me

December 2017

IMG_0303I’m Jason and I was born and raised in Manila. I’m an editor and writer with 13 years of experience in internal-facing corporate communications for a Hong Kong-based business-to-business (B2B) media company. I’ve also authored articles for international and local publications, in print and online, in the last 18 years.

I started writing professionally at age 19, when my byline first appeared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer. I then became one of its student correspondents, and my assignments included being a gasoline boy and a T.G.I. Friday’s waiter for a day. The worst question I asked during an interview was, “Who do you love more: your horse or your husband?”

Five years later, in 2004, I entered the corporate world as copy editor for an electronics trade magazine. At present, I’m an Intranet content manager by day and a contributing lifestyle journalist in my spare time. Aside from Inquirer, my work has appeared in SilkWinds (Singapore), Aspire (Hong Kong), and InterAKTV.

I mainly blog about food, movies, and occasionally, current events.
